515am alarm ⏰ time to get up and train…………it’s not easy, i definitely huffed and puffed a bit BUT……….

“I get to wake up and move my body” (some cannot)

“I am privileged to be able to train” (some cannot!)

“I get to eat well, nourish my body & take care of my health” (it’s a privilege, not a choice!!)

I spent so many of my years making myself miserable to be skinny. SKINNY!!! And why?? It made me miserable!! I was not thriving!! My hormones were fucked!! My skin was terrible!! I still hated my body even though it was skinny!!!!! It wobbled, it was fine in clothes but out of them I hated it………

I trained to lose weight.

I moved to burn more calories to get more skinny.

‼️ NOW ‼️

Training makes me feel alive!!! 💫 I am grateful I get to move, I am fit and strong enough to train 💫 I no longer punish myself with training for what I ate. 💫 I eat ALL day long!!!!! I get to do that, it’s a privilege I get to eat healthy food all day!! I fuel my body to perform. I fuel my body to be the best I can be for everyone. I take my hormonal system seriously. I take my health seriously.

It’s a privilege to be alive. To be in my body. To be able to run, jump, squat, lift and chase after my kids.

👉🏻 Change the narrative. Start your journey for ALL the right reasons. Continue your journey with your future in mind. Remind yourself that it’s a privilege to have this choice. It’s a privilege to have health. It’s a privilege to be able to move, train and feel good!!!!

Never take that privilege for granted ♥️

Happy Monday, start today, not tomorrow, not in September, today. Not because you have to but because you want to give your life that ♥️

STOP 🛑 waiting for “motivation” to arrive!! It won’t!

It doesn’t just appear and all of a sudden you are ready to go!!

This incredible lady gets up to train, get her food together before work through DISCIPLINE 🫡 we built it, over time, persistence and never quitting!!!! She does NOT feel motivated to get up in the morning, she has built a routine and discipline through consistency 🤷🏻‍♀️

NOW; the version of her on the left is far more painful than the version on the right!!! SO, she pulls on that. She gets up for herself NOW because she wants to keep what she’s got…….

Is it hard to get here? Yes of course…….she has had to ride the messy journey!! Keep going even when she doubted herself, done things she didn’t want to do for her future self……

Now it’s easy. Discipline leads the way.

There is NO easy option. No one can do it for you, they can support you, teach you, push you and give you the principles and tools but YOU have to change, it’s worth it!!

This grandmother of 11 😮 yes she has 11 grandchildren will 100% tell you it’s worth it!!!!!!!!!!

Overwhelm sets in 🤯 “I can’t do this”

Doubt creeps in 😢 “it’s best to quit and start again at a later date”

Fear of failure hits hard 🤬 “what’s the fucking point”

THIS is ALL part of the success process!!!! It’s all part of the journey………how to combat it…….

✅ REMIND yourself of WHY you started……who you want to be, WRITE it down. Pull on the pain of staying where you are!!

✅ Have a rest………give yourself a couple of days rest!! Step back, do something that makes you happy 😃

✅ Ask from some help from your coach. Some firm tough love with problem solving and reassurance 🫂 ask them to tell you what to do!! Do it.

✅ Make a plan. Reset. Accept you need to maybe shuffle your schedule a bit to fit around the chaos. Be ok with reducing what you are doing for a bit………remember if you only have 30% to give and you give it, that’s 100%!!!

Successful people do not have struggles!! They have MANY, as many as you!! They just have a no quit policy and a series of tools 🧰 to reach for to keep going no matter what!!

Keep going. You have this.

This incredible lady is an “x athlete” (she is still very much an athlete to me!!)

She lost herself, pregnancy, childbirth, business, life!!! A year ago she reached out and here we are today…….

A “new” season of her life. Post 40, hormonal change, less time………one year on, she follows her tribe programmes consistently (with F ups of course!!), she follows the nutritional principles and she dropped heaps of weight and fat………….

Change! She adapted, let me coach her and here she is!! Back in a bikini 👙 on her recent holiday 😍 lifting 50kg in a squat clean yesterday (with ease!!) andddddd having another woman comment on her very sculpted arms whilst on holiday 🤩 (Vicki arms, I take credit for building those 😜)

What worked for you in your 20’s and 30’s won’t in your 40’s and 50’s!!!

💨 All that cardio and coach to 5K used to do the trick. Now you just gain more weight

🐇 You used to be able to eat like a rabbit and drop 10lb before a holiday NOW, NOT. ONE. POUND!!!

💤 You used to be able to push the limits with sleep, burn the candle, now you just CANNOT!!

‼️ Honestly, I would be more deeply worried about other things than having “too much muscle” (will discuss this later!!)

👉🏻 Arthritis, osteoporosis, sarcopenia, chronic pain and NOT being able to do what you want to do!!!

👉🏻 Running around after grandchildren!! Growing old as that grandparent that CAN!!

👉🏻 LIFE!!! We retire and then do what?? Sit in a chair and rot because we are so unfit, weak and incapable of living!!!

It may not seem important NOW to prioritise the muscle building. It may seem “too much hassle” or you may say you have no time for it BUT in years to come you will WISH you had.

Being slim. Skinny even or losing weight is great BUT fat loss, “toning” (building muscle) and finding your fit and strong wins every time 💪🏻

Ps to build “too much muscle” for a woman is near on impossible without the use of aids SO get that myth out of your head!!! I hustle for it 💪🏻 put hours into it 💪🏻 im chasing it 💪🏻 it’s not a given, you have to work hard for it 💪🏻
